Find the right entry point
Click the extension’s capture button on a text-only post to open the share popup directly. For a media post, choose the share-card action in the capture popup. If Eagle is not running, the launch prompt also offers a share-card action. Copying and downloading a card do not require Eagle.
Shape the content first
Review the post text and select the replies that explain it. Remove distractions before adjusting the appearance. For media posts, check which media are selected in the capture popup before opening the card. Preview the final card rather than assuming that every detail visible on X will fit.
Choose a theme and an output ratio
Pick a theme with readable contrast and a layout suited to the amount of text. Enable the backdrop to reveal the ratio choices: 1:1, 3:4, 4:5, 9:16, and 16:9. A square works well for a short quote; a portrait format gives a longer explanation more room. Check the preview after changing the ratio or font size.
Review privacy and watermarks
Normal, blurred, and anonymous modes change how author information is displayed. They are presentation controls, not a guarantee of anonymity: the text, media, or source QR code can still identify a post.
- Review the author and reply identities in the preview.
- Decide whether to display media, statistics, dates, and the source QR code.
- Toggle the built-in watermark or enable a custom text watermark. A watermark does not grant reuse rights.
Export for your next step
Copy the card for pasting into another app, download it as a file, or save it to Eagle. If clipboard access is unavailable, use the download action instead. Eagle saving requires Eagle installed and running on the same computer. Review the exported image before sharing, especially after privacy changes.
